How much water do we really need.

It has been said drinking eight glasses of water a day keeps your body trim, healthy, and happy. Water is vital in a variety of bodily functions and processes, you should drink as much as your body requires.

Unlike other nutrients, water doesn't have specific daily requirements but water is a requirement of the body. Now whether eight glasses are required for the body still remains to be the question because a person's water intake is affected by age, weight, activity level, and environment. We are not created equal, so it's more theory than fact.

One of the ways to keep your body aquiline is by squeezing a couple of drops of fresh lemon every morning into a glass of water to drink. The best thing to do is simply drink water throughout the day and eat fresh fruits and veggies which you should have at least three times a week.

Water is absolutely essential to the human body's survival and when you drink adequate amounts of water you decrease the risk of certain types of cancers, including color cancer, bladder cancer and breast cancer.

So is water a important source for the body? You bet it is, it can save your life!

If anyone has other ideas as to what they can add to a glass of water that can be beneficial to ones health please post.

Five Ways You Can Win At Life Struggles.

Have you ever gotten up Early in the morning and thought to yourself that no matter what the day will bring I know I will overcome this. Everything can look brighter and more positive because your mind was made up to win the thoughts that can cast you down.

Phillips Brooks noted: "Some day in years to come, you will be wrestling with the great temptation, or trembling under the great sorrows of your life. But the real struggle is here, now, in these quiet weeks. Now it is being decided whether, in the day of your supreme sorrow or temptation, you shall miserably fail or gloriously conquer. Character cannot be made except by a steady, long continued process." It is a sobering, but true thought that how we will face our greatest tests is being determined right now - in the present. That is why it is so very important to face our fears now. That will allow us to face troubles boldly later. Going through life with character flaws and weaknesses is not a good way to live. It is much better to go through life with your backbone intact and straight, head held high and eyes facing our enemy.

You are so unique that there is no one who can even compare with you. Nature never duplicates itself, you are the only you. Isn't It exciting to know that when you were created, your Creator did not duplicate you, imitate you or reproduce you in anyway. You are one in a lifetime. There are two things to keep in mind. Accept what you cannot change and accept what you can change, then change it. Here's a question, how do you accept what you cannot change. You might not be the fastest runner, or an expert on designing a home or even singing. These are examples of things and situations that were not and are not in your control.

I was born a small baby and I grew into a short little girl. I continued to grow but I did not continue to grow tall, I remained short and of course, I wanted to be tall, Tall people are always look up to. But I remained short and as a result I was limited to what I could play in sports and other endeavours. I had to face the fact that what I wanted for my life at that time was not going to happen and at times I was crushed by my limitations. But I moved on with my life and find many things I was good at and even excel at, I needed to give myself a chance to discover what they were.

What about what you can be. With so many options out there for educateding ourselves why not discover your strengths instead of dwelling on your weakness, you will have more of a fighting change to know what you can win at instead of losing on lost dreams that can never come to past. Here are five ways to overcome and win.

1: Seeking any possibilities that might be available towards your strengths

2: Thinking well of yourself for the gifts that were given to you.

3: Acting in such a way as to reinforce your strengths and skills.

4: Never fail to learn life lessons.

5: Accept what you cannot change.

At the end of the day you need to ask yourself one question and that is Am I the change I want to see on the winning side.

Little Know Ways To Prioritize

One of the major valuable lessons I have learned in life is that of having priorities. Having priorities simply means listing things that are of importance in your life or in your work day - and paying the proper amount of attention to each one. The ones high on the priority list demand the greatest amount of attention. When I have a list of things that need doing, giving a little thought to the importance and/or urgency of each one helps me to ensure that those that need to be done are - and those which are less important have at least a much better chance of getting done. Another benefit is that as you erase the items from the top of the priority list, those of lesser priority value rise to take their place. As the events of each day, week or month unfold, we do receive a constant stream of items that need to be added to the list. Sometimes a very urgent item will push everything else out of the way. For example, if you were running to embrace your wife after some absence and suddenly stub your toe - the priority of focusing on your wife does not change, but momentarily, you will focus on the pain in your foot! However, giving priority to your wife would also prevent you from cursing and acting in rage for your own misstep. That sudden urgent momentary priority of pain should pass in a flash - but still it lies within the overall priority of paying attention to meeting your wife. Because of her, your words and actions in the moment of pain should show her high position in your life.

Much depends on our ability to know what our priorities are and then stick to fulfilling them. You will gain a reputation as one who will get assignments done on time, is reliable and who is dependable. People see you as capable and trustworthy. You will not be easily distracted. All of these qualities are valuable in your lives. In all honesty, we have also found that it is easy to "forget" about the need to prioritize and unfinished projects we may have had will remind us of that slippage. Being human, we have the ability to put things out of our minds. That in itself is not bad - and may be necessary, depending on what is happening in our lives. We do form habits of thought - and maintaining a good habit of focusing on maintaining priorities is within our ability. It may require a change in us - but that too can be a very good thing.

Now that we all agree on the need for seeing the priorities of our lives - it becomes an even more important task to know what priorities never change. There are a few priorities that remain at the top of our list - nothing ought to deter us from fulfilling them because the failure to fulfill them will have an enormous impact on our daily lives and happiness as well as on our futures. There may be times when our top priorities need to be given a little rest - but that is only for a temporary replacement with something else.

Learned people have found that any marriage can be improved - and even saved if it is in difficulty - by making your partnership a priority in your life. Giving attention to your mate, children, business or friends is a guarantee to make things better. Sometimes a period of time for healing may be needed if the relationship has long been strained - but if a person can grasp the value of this point of understanding, they certainly can have improvements in all areas. In science we are told that every action has a reaction. It is the same in life. When we bellow at people, we invite a similar response. When we reach out in respect and genuine concern, the response will be far warmer and friendlier.

Prioritize and prevention of major mistakes go hand and hand with the choices that we make on a day to day bases. These little know ways have help me over the years and I hope they will also help you.

Humor And The Other Side Of Life.

We all can use a little humor in these stressful times and everybody likes a good laugh. Humor they say has a profound connection with physiological states of the body and over the years I have encountered a surprising number of instances in which, to all appearances, people have laugh themselves back to health or at least have used their sense of humor as a very positive and adaptive response to their illnesses. There is a link between sense of humor and longevity.

It is suggested that the average person needs 15 or more laughs a day. On some crazy level this might be a good yardstick for you to use to evaluate what kind of day you are having. I often challenge myself to see what kind of day or week or month I'm having by the volume of laughter I experience.

At the end of the day you will find that laughter is like a medicine, it is good for whatever ails you. Develop your humor, your laughter and you love of living to enjoy your journey to it's fullest.

Your Life Your Future

One of the most precious gifts we could ever have is the gift of life. In life we can accomplish hopes and dreams. These hopes and dreams are the sparks of life that lead us to the fulfillment of accomplishments or the disappointments of defeat.

One thing you need to keep in mind when journeying through life is all of us are concerned about our lives and usually we have high expectations of the kind of life we want to experience. However, the majority of people learn by trial and error how to go about achieving the kind of life we desire. There is no school for living. Except for some rather vague and broad instructions, none of us is ever taught how to live. There are few teachers of instruction and "scarce" models for examples.

So the questions become: Where and how do we learn what living life to the fullest really means? Education alone does not give us the answers. Government falls short in many areas. Family is limited because of the human liabilities that comprise it. News media only serves to point out the worst. Is it no wonder tha many people live life on a unbalance scale. How do we want to live life? Up? Down? how about flat -line? No, we want to live life with some sense of balance.

Balanced living offers alternatives to the many perplexing challenges that arise in your life on a daily basis. The questions and problems you face can be used to your constructive advantage if you know how to address them. It is productive to have questions, problems and challenges if you have answers, solutions and alternatives. What is not productive as you travel your roads is to have few or no answers, solutions and alternatives. In watching some of our students face their challenges they would sometimes become so frustrated and bend out of shape because they could not figure out what was needed to dance more smoothly. It was up to us to show them the way.

What does this mean for your future? Well for one thing no man is a island and we all need and must accept the help of others alone the path that leads to our goals and our future. For many , that responsibility will be too great a price to pay, but for a few, the rewards and benefits will be worth the effort and pain which translates into a life-journey worth taking.

Here is a booklet that can lead you to more deeper understanding of your future.
